Titel: Die Kinder des Nebels (Trilogie; die anderen beiden heißen Krieger des Feuers und Herscher des Lichts), englisch Mistborn
Beschreibung: Seit über eintausend Jahren ist die Welt von Asche bedeckt. Seit über eintausend Jahren herrscht der unsterbliche Lord Ruler und versklavt das Volk der Skaa. Doch dann trifft das Skaa-Mädchen Vin auf Kelsier, einen der mächtigsten Nebelgeborenen. Er will mit einer kleinen Gruppe von Freunden den Obersten Herrscher stürzen und die Skaa befreien. Und Vin soll ihm helfen, denn sie besitzt die gleichen Kräfte wie Kelsier. Aber kann man einen unsterblichen überhaupt besiegen? Und kann man ein Volk das seit Jahrhunderten versklavt ist einfach so in die Freiheit führen? Und gibt es die Freundschaft, die Kelsier Vin zeigt? Vin und die gesamte Welt stehen vor dem Abenteuer ihres Lebens........
Meine Beurteilung: Also erstmal: Die Bücher sind der Hammer!!!! Die Charaktere sind realistisch, dreidimensional, symphatisch und können einen immer wieder überaschen. Man kann sie verstehen, und schließt Kelsier, Vin, Elant und alle anderen sehr sehr schnell ins Herz. Es ist eine Fantasygeschichte, aber eine bei der es sich wirklich lohnt sie zu lesen. Es kommen nicht immer die gleichen langweiligen Fabelwesen (Vampire, Engel, etc) vor, sonder Brandon Sanderson erschafft eine völlig neue Welt, mit einer völlig neuen Magie. Das System der Allomantie, zu der später noch die Ferrochemie und die Hämalurgie kommt, ist ausgeklügelt und kompliziert, wird aber gut erklärt. Die Geschichte ist spannend, nimmt immer wieder neue Wendungen und der Schreibstil ist fesselnd und unglaublich gut. Einziges Makel: Die Auswirkungen, die die Enthüllungen des zweiten und dritten Teils, auf den ersten Band haben, ruinieren den ein wenig im Nachhinein. Trotzdem lesen!!!
Fazit: Lest sie!!!!!! Lest alle Bücher von Brandon Sanderson! Und fangt mit diesen an! Kleiner Tipp: Es gibt auch noch Mistborn 4, das spielt 100 Jahre später mit neuen Charakteren. Nicht ganz so gut wie die Vorbände, aber immer noch viel besser als viele andere Bücher, die ich gelesen habe.

My Opinion: At First: The books are the best!!!!! The charcters are realistic, 3-D, sympathic and surprise you a lot of times. You can understand what and why the are doing it, you start to like Kelsier, Vin, Elant and all the others after a few moments. It's a fantasybook, but one, who is diffrent to others and what you really should read! There aren't the same fantasy-persons than normal (angel, vampires, etc). Instead Brandon Sanderson creates his one new world, which a completly new system of magic. The sytsem of allomantic power, and later ferrochemical and hämalurgic powers (i hope that they are called so in english) :). These systems are complicated, thought out and avowed. The story is exciting, changes the dircetion a lot of times the spelling style is absorbing and really good!! Only one bad point: Some things which are explained in the second and third part, make the first part worseafter the event. But READ IT!!!
All in all: READ IT!! Read every book by Brandon Sanderson, but start with these. Small hint: There is a Mistborn 4, wich happens 100 years later with new characters. Not that good than the first three, but also better than many books I read.
