Beschreibung: Charlotte ist das auserwählte Kind in Gwendolyns Familie, denn sie hat das Zeitreise-Gen. Hat sie doch, oder?Das ist nicht mehr so ganz sicher, als Gwen die Schwindelanfälle bekommt, die eigentlich Charlotte überfallen müssten. Als sich dann tatsächlich herausstellt, dass die gute Charlotte ganz umsonst jahrelang ausgebildet wurde, sind Ärger und Verwirrung groß, und das ist erst der Anfang.Für Gwendolyn fängt quasi über Nacht ein neues Leben an, denn plötzlich springt sie durch die Zeiten, und trifft dort auf ihre Ahnen. Doch nicht zum Spaß, denn sie hat eine Aufgabe, sie sie zusammen mit dem arroganten Gideon meistern soll. Er ist doch arrogant, oder? Na ja, er hat zwar verdammt schöne Augen, aber blöd ist er trotzdem. Irgendwie. Manchmal zumindest ...
Meine Meinung: Die Geschichte von Gwendolyn, dem Zeitreise-Gen, den zwölf Edelsteinen, und den beiden abtrünnigen Auserwählten ist wie ein frischer Wind im Fantasy Genre. Als Leserin fand ich mich prompt in der Geschichte wieder, und musste sehr oft laut lachen.. Der Humor ist überhaupt ein bestechendes Element der Geschichte ('Das ist alles höchst Wortlücke'!) und macht einen guten Teil der Atmosphäre aus.Was mir außerdem sehr gut gefallen hat, ist das Tempo. Die Geschichte schreitet flott voran ohne sich in Details zu verkritteln, und das, obwohl der Inhalt nicht wenig komplex ist, und eine wohltuende Tiefe hat.Am Ende wird es dann sogar richtig spannend, sodass ich das Buch im Grunde ab der Hälfte nicht mehr aus der Hand legen konnte. Die Figuren sind sehr gut herausgearbeitet, so dass man sich sehr gut mit ihnen identifizieren kann. Allerdings lassen sie in diesem ersten Band sehr viel Spielraum für die weitere Entwicklung. Da der Roman aus der Sicht von Gwendolin geschrieben ist, bleiben die Intentionen der übrigen Personen zu allen Seiten offen und man weiß nicht, wer gut, wer böse ist und wer aus welchen Beweggründen handelt.
Fazit: Ein bezauberndes Buch!Viele viele kleine Geheimnisse, die sich um ein großes scharen, wird der Leser in diesem Buch finden.

My Opinion: The story of Gwen, the time travelling gene, the twelve jewels and the two bad time travellers is how new wind in the fantasy literature. As reaser you see yourself in the story a lot of times and you have to laugh often. The humor is really an big part of the story and makes an important part of the atmosphere. What I liked also is the speed. The story happens fast without fallng to much in detalis, even if the story is complex. At the end it also is really exciting, so you don't want szop reading. The characters are realistic, and it'*s simple to identify with them. But there's also a lot of space for them to envelop. Because it's written from Gewn's point of view, you don't know who's good and who's bad and why they act like they do.
All in all: A charming book!! A lot of little secrets, which are around a big one, that are possible to find for the reader.
